Artists Bio:

Carole-Anne graduated from Green Mountain College VT earning a degree in fine arts. C. A. also participated in the inaugural Summer in Experiment at Skidmore College painting and drawing under the direction of artist–in–resident Philip Guston. She worked as a graphic designer for many years in New York City and eventually opened up a craft gallery in Chappaqua, NY supporting artists and artisans.
With a lifelong love of drawing and painting, she is currently pursuing her dream of being a full-time painter in her studio in Langdon, New Hampshire. C.A. has been exhibiting her work throughout New England and has received awards for several of her paintings. She is a signature member of the Vermont Watercolor Society.

ARTIST STATEMENT:
Art, in one form or another, has always been an important part of my life. As an artist I have always tried to stretch and try new things. My paintings and drawings are a process of exploration. Being greatly affected by my natural surroundings, I am intrigued by the power they have over feelings and our own sense of place. While focusing on painting and drawing, I see the natural world with different eyes that are always searching for shapes, textures, colors, patterns and hues. The more I see, the more I realize that the search has only just begun.
