VWS is proud to sponsor the Lisa Forster Beach Award Fund. This fund, in memory of Lisa, will award excellence in watercolor painting at our juried awards shows. Lisa was a celebrated artist with a widely acclaimed, unique vision, known for her drawings and watercolor art. She was also a renowned and admired teacher of many, many workshops. She was awarded signature membership in the National Watercolor Society in 1986.

We are dedicated to promoting the awareness and appreciation of watercolor to our membership at all levels of ability and to the larger community by providing opportunities and venues for participation, education, fellowship, and exhibitions.
